Terms of use.

Last updated: September 2026. These terms govern your use of the ColdCertain service and coldcertain.com. By using the service you agree to these terms.

1. The service

ColdCertain answers missed calls by sending an automated text message on your behalf. You activate the service by setting up conditional call forwarding on your phone through your carrier. ColdCertain does not receive your calls unless your phone does not answer them first.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ColdCertain. The service is intended for personal and business use; it is not directed to children under 13.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the lawful use of the service, including compliance with your carrier's terms and all applicable laws regarding call forwarding and automated messaging. You are responsible for keeping your forwarding settings active when you want the service to respond, and for disabling them when you do not.

4. Message content

ColdCertain sends messages that identify your business and acknowledge the missed call. You may customize the message text during setup. You are responsible for ensuring the content of your messages is accurate, lawful, and appropriate for your business.

5. Availability

ColdCertain relies on third-party communication providers — including Telnyx — to route calls and deliver text messages. Service availability, delivery speed, and message reliability depend on those providers and your carrier. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

6. Billing

ColdCertain does not charge per-message or per-call fees. Standard call-forwarding and messaging rates from your carrier apply. You are responsible for any charges your carrier applies to forwarded calls or outgoing text messages.

7. Cancellation

You may turn off ColdCertain at any time by disabling conditional call forwarding through your carrier using the same code you used to activate it. There is no cancellation fee and no obligation to continue using the service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ColdCertain is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, missed business opportunities, or data loss, arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
